Toledo School District posted: Beginning next month, TES students will have a music program called "Music and the Brain". Toledo will be one of a handful of schools on the west coast to offer this program.
Once a week (twice for kinders) students will have a music class. They'll learn how to read music and about famous composers. In addition, they'll learn to play piano.
CBS News did a story about this program in August 2016. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MnB2EIfJeQ

January is Daniel’s birthday month, and I’m guessing he’ll remember this one fondly.
Available at Gallery 505.
Note: if Sci-Fi is more to your liking, pick up This Too Shall Collapse by local author Jake Blake, the sequel to Sunburned: The Solar Flare That Silenced The Internet, both approved by the young adult readers in my extended family.

From Lewis County Permaculture Society, this thread from Thursday recognizing LCPS and Common Ground Toledo as rising stars in intelligent community beautification, and looking to adopt this movement.
Tatiana writes: Thank you for your invitation, we definitely would be interested in cooperation. Is there any Web site and/or FB page of your organization?
Brian Dennis Yes - Common Ground Toledo
Brian Dennis And it’s not my organization but a group of dedicated volunteers working with city gov’t. It’s really cool and I’m fairly certain it can be replicated elsewhere - depending on the amount of volunteers available and the willingness of the local gov’t.
