Last night Rene Ketchum wrote: Toledo High School FCCLA competed (Thursday) in Region 2 STAR Events and everyone received Gold Medals. They will be attending State Leadership Meeting in March and competing again at that time.
CONGRATULATIONS to Toledo High School FCCLA members and their GOLD Medal showing at Region 2 Competition. These students will be heading to State Leadership meeting in March to compete in Tri Cities.

Native Soil Farm announced yesterday: Ben Maestas is the new manager at the farm. He brings a wealth of information along with his beautiful family. (More pics to follow).

Ben has been preparing one of the hoop houses for early spring planting using permaculture and Shumei Natural Agriculture practices. The Food Bank notes personal care items are often in short supply, especially women’s sanitary products (sealed boxes/packages only). Also low on stock: baby diapers, formula and baby food, plus pet food & supplies.

ISO:* Social Media specialist to establish and maintain a page on social media, post weekly updates and news of Toledo Food Bank. Requires less than one hour weekly after initial setup. This is a volunteer position. Students welcomed. Apply during open hours.

City of Toledo announces a vacancy on the Planning Commission:

The City of Toledo is seeking one person to fill a vacancy on the Planning Commission.  The Planning Commission acts as an advisory body to the City Council on all land use, and comprehensive planning issues.  The Commission is specifically responsible for providing recommendations on subdivisions, zoning, annexation requests, reviewing and approving conditional use permits, approving business license, and is an integral part of the implementation of the Growth Management Act.  The vacancy must be filled by a citizen of the corporate City limits of Toledo. All candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old and a registered voter.

If you are interested in the vacancy on the Toledo Planning Commission, please submit a letter of interest to:  Mayor Steve Dobosh, City of Toledo, PO Box 236, Toledo, Washington 98591 or drop off a letter at Toledo City Hall, 130 North Second Street, Toledo.  If you have additional questions regarding this vacancy, contact Toledo City Hall at (360) 864-4564.
