Good Citizen Program 2017
The Sacajawea Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution wishes to announce the annual congratulatory Good Citizen Tea that will be celebrated at 2PM on February 7, 2017 at Friendly Village in Olympia Washington. This year, for the first time, a student from Toledo High School, Davinagrace Ramon, is eligible to participate in the Good Citizen Program, which was created in 1934. Winning students are recognized by their high school because they are seniors who demonstrate the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities. It is hoped that the student and the recognizing teacher or counselor will attend. Parents are also invited and encouraged to accompany the student representing their high school and hear essays written by the students who represent our area high schools. Only one student per year may be honored from their high school and the essays submitted are a first step toward a national award.
