8 months ago, over 300 citizens of Randle and East Lewis County showed up for a town hall meeting to learn the FACTS about Crystal Geyser’s plans. We knew we had to do something big to stop them.
On Monday Feb. 24th at 10am, the Lewis County Commissioners will vote on an ordinance that would change the county code, and prohibit bottled water plants in all of rural Lewis County.
Let’s pack the courthouse in Chehalis on Monday and show the Commissioners just how much we appreciate their courage to do the right thing!!

Consumer alert: Kreidler’s advice for claims from flood damage
OLYMPIA, WA. - Storms and flooding have hit Washington state hard over the last month. Unless people have flood insurance, they may not be covered for any damage caused by the latest weather systems.
Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler has advice for consumers hit by the storms and for people wanting to protect themselves in the future.
“Unfortunately, your typical homeowner or renter policy will not cover flood damage,” said Kreidler. “You must have a separate flood insurance policy.
Will travel insurance pay if you cancel a trip because of a health epidemic?
The short answer: Probably not.
WDFW: WDFW announces additional one-day smelt opening for Cowlitz River Feb 26
After a successful smelt opening last week, we've announced another limited dip-net fishery for smelt on a portion of the Cowlitz River from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 26. Dip-netters harvested an estimated 35,000 pounds of smelt during last Friday's 5-hour opener!

Toledo Historical Society meets 4 p.m. fourth Mondays at the Community Library, except as follows; in May, on the 3rd Monday. In July, August and December, no meetings are held.
The History Room inside the library displays early pictures, papers and artifacts generously donated by area families. The Society also participates in numerous projects in the community, and funds scholarships.
