Hi, this is Lamar Zarate. I am a senior at Toledo High School. I am in charge of a fun event called Mr.T pageant that we have at the high school in Toledo. It's a fun fundraiser to help out the senior class for our senior class trip. We have 10 senior boys who are in the pageant right now. This is going to be the 7th semi annual event. It will be on March 7th at 7pm. We would like the community to know about it so they can come in and watch the senior boys be the silly boys that they are.

We need good weather for the paint to cure properly, so it's hard to schedule work days right now, but watch this space for upcoming painting events!

Art Meets Utility: Toledo’s water tower mural project is on track to be completed later this Spring (weather permitting) under contract to Rolf and Peter Goetzinger, artistbrothers.com.  Check out their water tank murals page for examples of NW works including Kalama, Federal Way, Puyallup, and Muckleshoot Tribe in Auburn, WA.

Joh says: City Clerk Michelle Whitten has done an outstanding job and has all the funding in place. A huge thank you to the Toledo Historical Society for providing funding for an interpretive sign at the Water Towers site and also at Steamboat Alley and if we can stretch our funding one at the Gospodor Eagle.  The signs will  all be done with a cohesive color scheme and design.
