Extreme weekend weather deterred them not one bit.

Revisions to the 2016-2017 school district calendar, including snow make-up days and more, were finalized last weekend:
*ACT Late Start days will be March 6th and 20th.
15 minutes will be added at the end of each school day beginning March 7, 2017 to help balance time lost to weather-related closures without adding school days beyond June 14.
Do you know any graduating seniors in the Toledo School District? Each year the Toledo Scholarship and Academic Recognition Association helps to make roughly 20 locally funded scholarships available through their application process. The application is NOW available from their website and the deadline to apply is March 31st! Please help spread the word.
From the TES PTO:
TES Kid’s Garden Annual Sponsorship
We are making some major improvements to the Toledo Elementary School (TES) Kid’s Garden and we need your help. The garden program provides an incredible learning environment for our kids and is run solely by volunteers. They learn where food comes from, composting, pollination, ecosystems, recycling, health & nutrition and much more. The kids love their garden. Most of them choose to spend recess in the garden on Garden Science days.
We are planning to build 16 new raised garden beds for the 2016 - 2017 school year. This is where you come in. Please consider sponsoring a garden bed! A commemorative plaque will be placed on your garden bed(s). Cost is $150 the first year, and $50 each following year to renew your sponsorship.

Toledo School District Sponsors Senior Tax Exemption Workshops
Toledo School District will sponsor a workshop on Monday, March 13, 2017 and again on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Library at Toledo High School.
These workshops will focus on assisting seniors and disabled persons to evaluate their eligibility for exemption from property taxes. Lewis County Assessor, Dianne Dorey will be on hand to provide information about the qualifications and application process. Applications will not be accepted during the workshop but information about the documents needed to apply will also be presented. Seniors over age 60 who meet income and ownership qualifications or citizens who are disabled and meet specific qualifications may be eligible for an exemption.
The workshops are free to the public. The same information will be provided at both workshop and citizens are welcome to attend either or both.
