Today: Toledo School District Sponsors Second Senior Tax Exemption Workshop
Toledo School District will sponsor a workshop on Monday, March 13, 2017 and again on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Library at Toledo High School.
These workshops will focus on assisting seniors and disabled persons to evaluate their eligibility for exemption from property taxes. Lewis County Assessor, Dianne Dorey will be on hand to provide information about the qualifications and application process. Applications will not be accepted during the workshop but information about the documents needed to apply will also be presented. Seniors over age 60 who meet income and ownership qualifications or citizens who are disabled and meet specific qualifications may be eligible for an exemption.
The workshops are free to the public. The same information will be provided at both workshop and citizens are welcome to attend either or both.

Update from CGT on the Vernal Equinox Art Fair:
You don't want to miss this creative and art filled event!
This year at VEAF, Common Ground Toledo will display a large assortment of plant starts that will tease the gardener in all of us. All proceeds from this plant sale will go back into Common Ground Toledo's many beautification projects.
One of our esteemed CGT members is Linda Bird-Sonne. She has a Bachelor Degree in Horticulture and is a Lewis County Master Gardener. We are fortunate to have her available both days of the fair to assist you with your plant purchase and any questions pertaining to plants, gardening, and CGT future projects.
VEAF provides a great opportunity to come and unwind and go home with a treasure.
Di adds: Only two (that's 2) more days until the VEAF = Vernal Equinox Artist Fair @ the Morgan Arts Centre in Toledo. Come and shop for great arts, crafts, plant starts and both local honey and preserves. Spring is nearly here and St. Patrick's Day we'll be not only wearing the GREEN, we're going to be selling some nice little green plant starts as well, 10 AM - 5 PM both days.
