Planning For Toledo Farmers & Artisans Market meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at Camp Singing Wind.
Common Ground Toledo reports: Common Ground Toledo put their best efforts into their very first plant sale and the fundraiser and it was a success!
Mike and Di Morgan graciously added us to their annual event, the Vernal Equinox Art Fair at the MAC over the weekend with all plant sale proceeds going back to CGT.
Linda Bird-Sonne volunteered her time both days to assist with the sale as well as spending many days beforehand preparing the plants. Ronda Sandoval donated the majority of plant divisions to the sale and the Whitesides filled in the gap. The soil and the containers were donations from various CGT members and the Morgans. All the plant divisions were from just two gardens. It is just amazing what bounty is hidden in a garden.
I am hoping that we can expand our efforts for future plant sales and have more people share a piece of their unique plants and bulbs to help CGT grow. The remaining plants will go back into our makeshift nursery and will either be worked into future beautification garden projects around Toledo or they will be added in on the next plant sale.
Thank you to all who made this event a success!
