Toledo School District reported: Amazing Camp Read S’more (last night).
Lots of family fun and everyone gets a book to keep! Thanks Toledo PTO!
Comment from School Board member Brad Dykstra in The Chronicle’s article Yes Vote For Next Toledo Bond Is A No-Brainer by Julie Mcdonald:
We have the opportunity to build a NEW high school with a Distressed Schools Grant from the state and state construction assistance if we are willing to pass at $7 million bond and tax ourselves $0.99/ 1000. A friend of mine handed $7 to a preschooler and then showed her $25. She asked the preschooler, "Would you give me your $7 if I gave you my $25? The preschooler made the trade. Will we?
Andrea Jones posted:
Is anyone else local interested in beginning Spanish language lessons? Kids and/or adults? I have heard a few express interest (and would personally be interested as well). I have someone willing and available to teach a class once or twice a week beginning in May, even throughout the summer! Looking to get a group of 6-8 so we have others to practice with, to keep the cost down, and also make it worth her time and energy. Message me!
Update: For those interested - please post your preferred days/times - thanks!

Billie Washington via Lewis County Permaculture Society writes: My cousin will be visiting the farm periodically this spring and summer, he is a full blooded Lakota from Cheyenne River Sioux, Eagle Butte, SD.
He is an artist. I’ve told him about our community and he is offering to teach some skills when he is here. Smoke tanning, pouches for knives, Tobacco pouches, foraging pouches, almost anything you can think of. The process would be very traditional. Would anyone have interest in this? His wife is a Navajo healer. Let me know. Thank you.
