Native Soil Farm manager & Permaculture advocate Ben Maestas writes:

So my 2nd oldest comes home on weekends from college now and spent the day with us for her 20th birthday (her birthday was Tuesday but she had school and work so she is here Wednesday night thru Thursday!) Unlike the stereotype student bringing home their dirty laundry Sarah cooks for us and eagerly seeks work in the garden! She is studying accounting and business management so she can manage the farm. This is a pic I had to sneak while she worked in the garden. My wife, my four daughters and yes even my son-in-law, fill my heart with so much love, words fail me... I count myself blessed beyond measure or worth.

Worm composting is a process in which red wiggler worms, insects and micro-organisms are used to convert kitchen waste, such as fruit rinds and vegetable peelings into nutrient-rich humus. Learn how to enrich your gardens with this "black gold," and make your own worm compost bin. Supplies are provided, but there is a limit of one worm bin per family, please. Make sure you sign up for the class, so we have enough supplies for everyone. Call 360-740-1216 to register or email art.fuller@lewiscountywa.gov.

Health Corner: Magnesium

I’ve written before about Magnesium here and here.

From MindBodyGreen: Magnesium Deficiency 101: 18 Signs You're Deficient (And How To Fix It)

Reminder: Asthma sufferers are chronically deficient in magnesium.
This article breaks down the various forms for you: 9 Common Types of Magnesium Explained - Global Healing Center

***Disclaimer: As always, check with your medical practitioner before embarking on lifestyle changes. Health Corner topics are intended to raise questions rather than answer them definitively. Things change. New knowledge arises. Ancient wisdom is revived.
And miracles take place against all odds.
