Ticket sales for this year's Sky and Star Party will go live online Monday, July 9th at 9am! In order to facilitate parking and protect everyone's night vision, advanced registration will be required for both day and overnight attendees. The event is rain or shine and admission is transferable but is not refundable.

Information and tickets will be posted here and on http://www.mshslc.org/events/#SkyStar before Monday. Thank you for your patience!

EarthSky asks: Have aliens visited Earth? Question worthy of study, says physicist. Best ongoing conversation at EarthSky this week...

In this story, a NASA research scientist argues there's compelling evidence to justify serious scientific study of UFOs.

Final day of “shipwrecked survivors” for MAP campers: Pirates stole their snacks but they followed a treasure map and tracked it down (and found other pirate booty, too!). First they had to decode picture clues, figure out their pirate names and unscramble an important message about real-life treasure. They also engaged in pirate duels and a boat building challenge. One camper had so much fun this week he said he wanted to stay on the island indefinitely! Alas, in the end all survivors made it off the island alive and well... and that’s a wrap!
