*Correction: Wednesday’s Recap of the City Council meeting inaccurately stated the water tower project was on schedule to begin in November. In fact, the project is slated for completion in November. City Clerk Michelle Whitten set the record straight:
The Water Tower Project - Preliminary Schedule: Mt Baker Silo (new tower) has 6.5 weeks’ worth of work from start to finish. They are looking to begin mid-August. Rehabilitation of the old tower is set to commence around October 1, spanning approximately 1 month on the inside and outside on the existing reservoir.

Steamboat Alley’s Jamie Cummings says: I'll be in the Alley on Saturday raising money and soliciting supplies during the day. Please stop by and say hello!
In the evening on Saturday, Ethan and I are selling homemade mac & cheese and a cheese and fruit sampler plate at the Wine & Cheese tent. Rosecrest Farm, Black Sheep Creamery, and Domina Dairy have donated cheeses, and Starts with a Bang! donated the rest of the supplies, so all food sales go directly to the Alley.
We're also selling engraved pavers for the finished Alley. The cost is $100 for a 12" x 12" paver and you can put up to 7 lines of 14 characters each. Order forms are available in the white box at the entrance to the Alley.
Also in the white box is our supply wish list. We need everything from paint and plywood to wrought iron bistro chairs and a small American flag with 43 stars. If you know of anyone who would be willing to share anything on it, please let me know!

Our next work day is scheduled for Sunday, July 31 at 10 a.m. We'll be prepping the planters by putting in a wicking bed system that will require less frequent watering for the plants. As always, lunch will be provided.
I hope to see you all out this weekend!
