…
Jeannie Smith Crocker shared:
It appears there are two young ladies from the Toledo High School in need of community support and prayers. One is fighting a brain tumor and the other had a brain aneurysm. It would be nice to see the town include #Jessiestrong alongside #Ryleestrong on all the billboards.
Q: is Jess’ surgery today or tomorrow?
A: She has one today (Wednesday) and tomorrow(Thursday)!

Cliff Mass: The Driest Week of the Year Brings Rain and the Summer Outlook
July brought above normal rainfall for much of the region, with Seattle getting 1.15 inches, .45 inches above normal. Temperatures were cooler than normal over the Cascades and eastern WA, but warmer than normal in parts of western WA. Cool in wildfire land.
Thursday will be warm in western WA, with highs in the mid-80s away from the water.
But our warm, dry days are about to get another interruption, with a stronger than normal Pacific front making landfall on Friday.
…
Here is the predicted total precipitation through Sept 13th by the vaunted European Center model ensemble system (see below). Wow. BC is quite wet, as is NW Washington. SE Alaska in nutty wet. You have to feel sorry for folks taking cruises up there.

Health Corner: Vaping & Pets
While the debate continues, read this incident involving Juul pods & vape juice.
One pet owner posted recently about her tragic experience, and invited everyone to share widely. Here’s her story:
Katie Baars - Wisconsin
June 30
I know most of us have dogs and other pets and I wanted to post this to help save lives of pets so people are aware of the dangers of vaping equipment and pets.
I just lost my Saint Bernard puppy yesterday. She had eaten a juul pod and chewed a bottle of vape juice. I did not even know we had these items in the house - my 17yr old snuck them in and attempted to hide them under the couch.
There is no antidote for this stuff. Only supportive treatment. It’s extremely toxic even in small amounts. Plus the flavors often attract pets to it.
My pup was only 12wks old. I hope in her tragic untimely death her story can create awareness on the dangers of this stuff. I have made this shareable so please feel free to do so.
*Special thanks to Guy Husvar for sharing this post.

Lewis County Water Alliance - We are a citizens group in Randle, WA fighting to keep Crystal Geyser from bottling and exporting our water. Our goal is to protect our water and environment for our families, our farms, our fish, and our future.
It is going to take some Big Change in order to keep Big Water corporations out of the Big Bottom and out of Washington State.
Update: Lewis County Water Alliance has received so much support from other towns & regions seeking to halt commercial water interests that Washington Water Alliance has been created.
