Did you catch Dakota Robins last night at Riverside Golf Club? Guess who else from Toledo showed up to open for him:
Robins was on hand early, fine-tuning his gear, moving and swapping components, listening from different parts of the room to dial in the exact coordinates he wanted. Constantly in motion. Even seated, knee bouncing rapidly, only evidence of nervousness. Once he stepped up to the mic, those nerves relaxed immediately.
Says Robins: Though I didn’t really get serious about music until my sophomore year, performing country and classic rock favorites plus my own original works at (Toledo High School) coffee house open mic nights quickly evolved into my calling. That’s why I’m pursuing music at college now.
He answered without hesitation “Chris Stapleton inspires my country music, influenced by pop, a modern crossover.” Robin’s version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man makes it clear Dakota can earn his audience’s respect. Robins modestly mentions he “sang for his supper” at 3 venues while in Belize with family, feeding his entire clan - and he was invited back. (He had to decline, as he was traveling…)
Though Robins is establishing his own brand now, he’s open to expanding his repertoire, performing with other musicians and traveling to share his talents.

Toledo’s Ethan Siegel, Starts With A Bang explains:
This Is Why Comets Glow An Eerie Green Color
“But even though things aren’t looking particularly good for this comet, there’s always a chance it will surprise us. Furthermore, the features that you can expect for this comet — the ion tail, the dust tail, the coma, and the nucleus — are common to practically all comets that enter our inner Solar System. When a comet gets warm enough, it creates an extended, gas-rich cloud known as a coma around its nucleus. If the coma contains carbon-nitrogen and carbon-carbon bonds, that… See More
