Scammers can use technology to fake the name or number on your caller ID. Even when your caller ID shows a local number, it could be a scammer calling from anywhere in the world. FDA: Danger: Don’t Drink Miracle Mineral Solution or Similar Products
The FDA warns you not to drink sodium chlorite products such as Miracle Mineral Solution. These products can make you sick.
Picture
Excerpt: If you’re drinking “Miracle” or “Master” Mineral Solution or other sodium chlorite products, stop now. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received many reports that these products, sold online as “treatments,” have made consumers sick.

The FDA first warned consumers about the products in 2010. But they are still being promoted on social media and sold online by many independent distributors. The agency strongly urges consumers not to purchase or use these products.

The products are known by various names, including Miracle or Master Mineral Solution, Miracle Mineral Supplement, MMS, Chlorine Dioxide (CD) Protocol, and Water Purification Solution (WPS). When mixed according to package directions, they become a strong chemical that is used as bleach.

WA Attorney General: AG FERGUSON SEEKS TO JOIN LAWSUIT TO DEFEND INTEGRITY OF THE CENSUS COUNT
Federal judge has called Trump Administration’s defense “halfhearted”

August 12, 2019 - OLYMPIA - Attorney General Bob Ferguson today asked an Alabama federal judge to allow him to join an ongoing lawsuit to ensure that the 2020 Census includes all residents in its count, seeking to bolster what the court has called the Trump Administration’s “halfhearted” defense of the constitutionally required count.

The lawsuit, filed by the State of Alabama and Alabama Congressman Morris Brooks Jr. last year, seeks to force the federal government to exclude undocumented immigrants from the census count, claiming that including them in the count would potentially result in the state losing congressional representation and federal funds to other states.

Governor Jay Inslee: Inslee statement on Trump administration’s “public charge” rule that targets and punishes immigrant families

August 12, 2019 - Gov. Jay Inslee today issued a strong rebuke against the Trump administration’s final adoption of a “public charge” rule that could disqualify immigrants who use or seek certain public benefits from obtaining or renewing a green card or visa.
Picture
“We are witnessing an unprecedented escalation of animus against our nation’s immigrant families. This rule may score the president political points with the most extreme voices in his party, but it could be devastating to millions of hard-working immigrants, including those who already have visas, or who are U.S.-born.

“Our nation’s economy – and Donald Trump’s own businesses - rely on the labor of immigrant workers. Our communities are strengthened and enriched by the diversity of experiences and cultures of our immigrant families. And our collective ability to thrive is horrifically diminished by this latest xenophobic effort to sow confusion and fear throughout our immigrant communities.

Aug. 12, 2019 - OLYMPIA -  Hunters who purchased a multi-season permit application earlier this year, but were not selected in the April drawing, are eligible to buy the unsold 2,610 deer and 116 elk multi-season tags on a first-come, first-served basis on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Lewis County Water Alliance -  We are a citizens group in Randle, WA fighting to keep Crystal Geyser from bottling and exporting our water. Our goal is to protect our water and environment for our families, our farms, our fish, and our future.

It is going to take some Big Change in order to keep Big Water corporations out of the Big Bottom and out of Washington State.

Update: Lewis County Water Alliance has received so much support from other towns & regions seeking to halt commercial water interests that Washington Water Alliance has been created.

*Special thanks to Deanna Busdieker, who condensed posts & threads into  a shared folder: Link here.

Updated several times daily. The Other Toledo is committed to supporting our upriver neighbors in their challenge to preserve this precious natural resource. After all, we all live downstream.
