- The Other Toledo: Editor Takes A Day *
- Today: Toledo Thursday Market, School District Board Meeting *
- Future-Tripping: Feeds, Fundraisers, Forms, Fun & More *
Today’s Column is noticeably brief - I’m taking the day off - but I’ll be back with a full Friday Column & the Weekend Outlook.
Please support Thursday Market vendors & musicians, drop off a few things for the 2 school supply drives, donate outgrown kids clothes to TES PTO Kids Closet (for those unexpected adventures that call for a change of apparel), & find out what’s cooking at the Toledo School Board meeting this evening.

TES PTO: Friendly reminder as you are going through clothes and back to school shopping. Let's stock the Kid's Closet!
Original post:
Hi Friends!
The Kids Closet at Toledo Elementary School is in need of some specific items to get the new school year started:
Boys athletic shoes sizes 13 to 3
Girls athletic shoes sizes 13 to 3
Boys shorts and sweats sizes 5 to 10
Girls shorts, sweats and leggings sizes 5-12
Please consider donating good used condition clothing and/or picking up an extra pair or two of inexpensive athletic shoes while you are back to school shopping.
Share with your networks! Let's get the closet stocked! Items can be dropped off at the pod inside the garden anytime or arrangements can be made with Ashley Jacobson or myself.

Toledo School District extended: Our apologies to those parents who came to TES (Wednesday) and found the doors locked. We had some crossed wires in communication. The office will be open tomorrow for registration and questions. Don’t be put off by the lights being off. We’re keeping the building cool during these warm days.

Lewis County Water Alliance - We are a citizens group in Randle, WA fighting to keep Crystal Geyser from bottling and exporting our water. Our goal is to protect our water and environment for our families, our farms, our fish, and our future.
It is going to take some Big Change in order to keep Big Water corporations out of the Big Bottom and out of Washington State.
Update: Lewis County Water Alliance has received so much support from other towns & regions seeking to halt commercial water interests that Washington Water Alliance has been created.
*Special thanks to Deanna Busdieker, who condensed posts & threads into a shared folder: Link here.
Updated several times daily. The Other Toledo is committed to supporting our upriver neighbors in their challenge to preserve this precious natural resource. After all, we all live downstream.
