WSU Lewis County Master Gardeners shared this post:
Please feel free to share. Let's stop fear-mongering!
"Dysdera crocata is a hunting spider found from New England to Georgia and west to California. It is also a commonly encountered spider in England, northern Europe, and Australia. The woodlouse hunter preys on pill bugs or sow bugs … D. crocata bites have been implicated in causing a localized, intensely itching erythema 4 to 5 millimeters in diameter. The bites apparently do not result in any systemic neurotoxicity or cytotoxicity." https://bit.ly/2Ln8MUu

Back To School: Pfizer Cooperates With FDA To Extend EpiPen Expiration Dates
FDA Important Update - August 21, 2018
Important Update on EpiPen® (epinephrine injection, USP) 0.3 mg Auto-Injectors from Mylan and Pfizer
Extended Expiration Dates for Select Lots of EpiPen® 0.3 mg AutoInjectors and its Authorized Generic
To address shortages of EpiPen®, Pfizer is coordinating with FDA to extend the expiration dates of specific lots of EpiPen® 0.3 mg Auto-Injectors and its authorized generic version, after review of stability data. Patients should have confidence in using the products from these particular lots as Pfizer works to stabilize supply, which is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2018…
The extension of the expiration dates does not apply to EpiPen Jr® (epinephrine injection, USP) 0.15 mg Auto-Injectors and its authorized generic version. Patients must continue to adhere to the manufacturer’s expiry date labeled on EpiPen Jr® 0.15 mg and Epinephrine Injection, USP Auto-Injectors 0.15 mg products.
