Kathy Tyner of Toledo shared a post from Lewis County Sheriff’s Office:
Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife’s linked video from Oregon Zoo wins Thursday’s Absolutely Cutest Video.
Caution: Extreme sweetness may cause cavities.
WDFW Partner profile: We are proud of our work to recover species and restore habitats -- and of all the people and organizations that work with us and separately to do the same. In that spirit, we want to share this video by the Oregon Zoo. Thank you.

Educator Annie Jones linked this post Thursday, saying:
Toledo friends - Are you proud (or even just glad) that our school has a kids garden program? Me too!! Let’s show up September 15 and/or 16 to help make these improvements! Did you put it on your calendar? See you there!
The date for paver and patio installation at the TES Garden is set for September 15 & 16. This will be an enormous improvement to the garden and make it suitable for Fall and Winter. This is your chance to pitch in and provide some "sweat equity". With plenty of people, we'll get this done in no time.

Nine Years Ago: Annie Jones Shares a Memory
Days before this picture was taken nine years ago I learned I would need major surgery and treatments to remove cancerous tumors... I had already had my thyroid removed while pregnant with E and radioactive treatments when the girls were tiny. I had hoped we were done but the cancer had spread. My surgery was scheduled for 3 days after my brother’s wedding. I was already tired from years of starting our family and careers while dealing with health challenges, moving, mothering littles and running an in-home preschool. And I was scared. I really didn’t know if I could take on the challenges ahead. While I began grieving the impending loss of time with my babies (again) a dear friend gifted us a free family photo session (the only one we’ve ever had!) the day after the wedding. This was the most precious gift. These pictures became a “cairn” of sorts, a marker for me to remember where we’ve been as a family and a reminder that we are strong even when we feel weak. Through the next months we learned the value of community in a whole new way and while I wouldn’t want to do it all again and wouldn’t wish it on anyone - those years of struggle have become a significant part of who we are today as a family.
