Planning is already underway for this year’s Veterans Day events, beginning with an invitation from Toledo High School Principal Martin Huffman: Toledo High School will have the Veterans Day Assembly at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016. Please post this and invite a vet, friend or acquaintance to help us celebrate....Martin.
One veteran, gifted a Wall of Honor brick to commemorate his service, said he never felt appreciated for his sacrifice until he attended September’s Annual Pow Wow hosted by the Cowlitz Indians at Toledo High School, and was invited to join veterans and service men and women of all ages on the floor in a tribute that moved him to tears.
