Unearthing my cool weather clothing is the perfect opportunity to pass along the items long forgotten with plenty of good miles left. TES PTO Kid’s Closet accepts donations year round for K-12 students; apparel beyond retirement stage still supports Class of 2018’s Textile Drive.

New & nearly-new clean garments may be dropped at Toledo Elementary office during school hours.
Other textiles may be dropped at Toledo High office.
Label bags, please.

Educator Andrea Jones posted: Preschool update: We're working hard already! (L)ast week we also visited our school garden, observed and collected, then at snack time tried all kinds of veggies we found! Everyone tried something new...

We also studied how apples grow, dissected them and learned about the functions of the different parts (skin/peel, seeds/pips, stem, etc) then we tasted and charted our favorite kinds! This week we will make applesauce together - yum!

New Tuesday group: Toledo Senior Center hosts Creative Stitchery* 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for any and all needleworkers in a supportive atmosphere. BYO brown bag lunch and finish that project you put away long ago or tackle a new one, learn another craft or share your knowledge on a classic one. Or just bring the mending and share a cuppa with new faces & old friends.

Help decide what kind of group this will become, including a title/name.

*Creative Stitchery is a working name for this new group.

You'll need a Discover Pass (or be able to afford the ticket). This is always a great event. THS has 27 athletes on the team, so there will be lots of kids to root for. Go Indians!

Warning: If someone calls to “verify your Equifax account,” hang up.

Toledo’s A Grey Area Computer Repair linked DeadState’s post, and reminds those drooling over the iPhone X there is a downside to ease of access: “With Face ID, cops can just point your phone at your face while they have you in handcuffs then look through your phone without a warrant.”

A Grey Area also linked ARSTECHNICA’s article “Billions of Devices Imperiled by New Clickless Bluetooth Attack.” Is yours one of them?

Seth Rowe is a 2017 THS alumnus. In late August, Seth was the victim of a hit and run while cycling on Park Rd. Seth's injuries will require lots of physical therapy. This is an opportunity for the community to support him and his family with the cost of medical care he needs.
