Cowlitz Prairie Grange #737 provided personal dictionaries to 55 third graders yesterday in the library...
Grange members on hand included Marlene McCullam - Secretary, Jan Baker - Lady Assistant Steward, Fred Wilson - Assistant Steward, and Tom Boone - Lecturer. Special thanks to Toledo Elementary School Principal Angela Bacon and TES staff for allowing us to present the dictionaries.

The Grange is noted locally for hosting its Annual Gas Show and Threshing Bee each August, swelling Toledo’s numbers by several thousand collectors, competitors and assorted visitors. Musical Jam Nights on second, fourth and fifth Fridays at the Hall on Jackson Highway draw performers from all corners.
Words For Thirds is one way The Grange gives back to their community.

Citizens For Better Schools* drew two dozen supporters to last night’s organizational meeting at Toledo's Main Fire Station. Committees were identified, chair people assigned tasks, and goals outlined. Those who volunteered early were awarded coffee gift certificates.
As the high school hosts October’s Coffee House 7 p.m. tonight, Principal Martin Huffman offered tours of the facility 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. highlighting needed upgrades.
