Hey everybody !!!
We want to invite you all to our space for a fusion celebration of many of our traditions:) Halloween- All saints day- Día de Los Muertos- Samhain-Harvest etc.! Our intention is to gather, give thanks and celebrate our ancestors and those who came before us, share food and have fun ! We will be having a potluck at 2pm please bring a yummy something savory and something sweet! Costumes are strongly suggested ! After lunch of the weather permits it we will go on a walk and gather things from the land that seem special and significant to make an altar of día de Los Muertos for our ancestors! We will also be carving some pumpkins together at the Craft House with the kids and making the altar at the lodge afterwards !!!
We are also celebrating our friend Martina Munz's birthday!!
Soooo....
Bring:
1. Boots! ( it's getting muddy out here)
2. Warm clothes !
3. A pumpkin per person and carving utensils
4. Photos of your ancestors grandparents or whoever you would like to honor that has passed.
5. Other pretty things to be placed on the altar like colorful paper, pictures or special artifacts and candles. Traditionally in Mexico we bring something that the ancestors liked in their lifetime.
6. Something savory something sweet to share :)
7. Your awesome self plus friends and family :) in costume !
