Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department reports:
Your best protection against the flu is a flu shot.
TACOMA, Wash.—A Pierce County man in his 40s died Oct. 22 in the hospital from flu-related complications. He had chronic health concerns that increased his risk for complications. This is the first flu-related death in the 2018-2019 flu season.

Our Solar System formed some 4.6 billion years ago from a molecular cloud that collapsed. Our proto-Sun formed along with a protoplanetary disk that eventually evolved into the Solar System we have today, complete with the inner, rocky planets, an asteroid belt, the gas giants and their moons and ringed systems, and then the outer Solar System.
Those outer regions sure are interesting, and it's only over the past 3 decades we've really started to learn about them in earnest. ...

Not Strictly Toledo: Lewis County Solid Waste Utility says:
Hazo Hut and the Swap Shack at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia are open today until 4 p.m. to accept your leftover or unwanted household hazardous waste and burned out fluorescent lights. The Swap Shack is the place you can pick up good re-usable paint or cleaning products. Both facilities are open every Wednesday and the first and third Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Remember! Construction will be continuing at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia this week! It is expected to last into mid-November, at least.
Lines are out the gate at the transfer station in Centralia! Construction is taking place during the next several weeks. Expect delays!
