Cowlitz Tribal Chairman signs Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Forest Service to list Lawetlat'la (Mount St. Helens) as a Traditional Cultural Property.
This agreement is intended to facilitate coordination and communication to achieve effective management of the Traditional Cultural Property (TCP). This agreement will guide communications regarding the planning and management of current and future recreation, education, scientific investigations, and Federal undertakings. Our mutual goal is to promote management based on open communication, consultation, and cooperation.

Smashing Pumpkins: How to Compost Your Pumpkins After Halloween
Are you one of those people that let your Halloween pumpkin rot on the porch until it hopefully gets covered with snow or eaten by the local raccoons? Why not make the soil and your neighbors happy this year and compost that Halloween pumpkin? By composting it, your pumpkin will not be added to the waste at the local landfill.
Here's how to have fun smashing pumpkins and then recycling them.
