Saturday’s callout preempted a planned Walk N’ Knock to encourage voters to get their ballots in by Tuesday’s deadline.
Volunteers reported a great turnout Saturday for their project, most walkers reporting it was fast and easy.

TES Kid’s Garden generously shared a prolific squash bounty with your humble columnist. Not everyone is, but I’m fond of this Fall veggie.

Additionally, I was treated to meeting Elly, a skilled Border Collie - Lab who displayed her agility on slick climbing tires and balance on round timbers bordering the nearby play area.
Generational natives always ask “WHAT other Toledo?” when I introduce myself and affiliation with The Other Toledo. Refugees from Metropolis… don’t. So I learn a little about my community in this manner.

Charlie says: Toledo Community Library’s copy of Treknology was checked out before the press release!

You can pick up your own copy of Ethan Siegel’s latest book Wednesday - Saturday at Gallery 505...or get on the list at the library.

Could be a long wait...

Today: Hey Toledo, can you help me get the word out?
Got this email Sunday morning:

HI Marlea,
I just wanted to give you a heads up. There is going to be a Commissioners meeting at the Court House (Monday) morning at 10 a.m.
(They're) trying to get as many people as possible to attend this meeting. The Lewis County Senior board wants to get answers.

Toledo Senior Center has enjoyed unparalleled support in their community, as evidenced by the on-the-spot extension of funding through Year 2017 by the November 30, 2016 LewCo Commissioners forum that packed the house to overflowing.
Can Toledo (& other Senior Center communities) help pack the room again?

Remember, there will be a spread of delicious food afterwards courtesy of the Friendly Neighbor's Garden Club. They open up one meeting a year with a presentation and food to the public.
P.S.: Please overlook that my hyphenated last name is backwards (on the poster). We know. It's all good!
Mahalo (...thank you)..Linda
