Noted muralist Paola Suculima De La Concha Zindel says: Hey everybody! I'm going to Standing Rock  this weekend! I am gathering money to fund winterizing equipment for the camp and Sioux tribe and to document what is happening and bring back legit information to continue the communication between our people around the world and continue to raise awareness for what's happening in the name of our next generations and water!

More detail plus a YouTube video on her GoFundMe page. BTW, the goal is very modest, considering the current price of commercially bottled water.

Common Ground Garden Community update: A shout out for helping hands 4 p.m. until finished Wednesday (yes, the day before Thanksgiving) at Toledo Senior Center to arrange greens into garlands to decorate planters for the holidays. Two to three hours should do it. Bring your own gloves, hand pruners and wire cutters if you have them.

Also: Mayor Dobosh worked out the logistics of a city Christmas tree - the 20 ft. tree on the south side of the gazebo at the boat launch. There are Christmas wood cutouts of a train and seasonal figures that will surround the tree. We are all getting so excited for Christmas Town, Toledo.
