Today: Toledo Elementary School special assembly 2 p.m. in the gym to recognize their Washington State School of Distinction Award, the culmination of 5 years improvements in Language Arts and Math, one of the highest awards in the State.

Gallery 505 Artist Co-Op is having an art contest for children aged 3-17. The theme of the current contest is “IMAGINATION”. All contestants will have their art displayed at Gallery 505 and four winners will be chosen to receive a prize, an art kit with various art mediums. The age groups are 3-5, 5-8, 9-12, and 12-17.
All drawings or paintings can be submitted on a regular 8 ½ by 11-inch sheet of paper. You must include the child’s age, address, and phone number and parent’s email.
All entries are due by December 24, 2016 and the winners will be announced January 2, 2017.
