Update: Flood watch in effect today for Toledo & surrounding areas
Lewis- 322 AM PST Tue Dec 18 2018

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of west central Washington, including the following
 county, Lewis.
* Through this afternoon
* Heavy rainfall in SW Washington tonight and Tuesday will force
sharp rises in the rivers, especially rivers flowing off the
Willapa Hills like the Chehalis river near Doty. Minor
flooding is possible if heavy rainfall rates exceed guidance.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

NW Avalanche Center: Forecasts & Warnings up-to-the-minute
Picture
Monday night, a warm front will pass through the region bringing heavy rain and high elevation snow along with increasing winds to many locations. Very stormy weather will continue during the day on Tuesday as the associated cold front slides E-SE during the late morning and mid-day hours. Snow levels will gradually lower as precipitation becomes post-frontal in character and winds shift from S-SW to W-SW, but remain moderate to strong. Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, cooler post-frontal rain and snow showers continue, but gradually decrease and end from south to north.

Tech Tuesday: All Over The Board

hotnewhiphop reported: Facebook Apologizes For Exposing Photos Of 6.8 Million Users
Facebook’s response: "We're sorry this happened. Early next week we will be rolling out tools for app developers that will allow them to determine which people using their app might be impacted by this bug. We will be working with those developers to delete the photos from impacted users."

BGR: How to check if your private photos were exposed due to Facebook’s latest bug
Facebook has created a help page that you can access at this link* to see whether you’re one of the 6.8 million people impacted by the bug. Once you visit that linked page:
You’ll see an image (linked page) if your private photos were not accessed by any of your photo apps that you may have installed on your phone. Otherwise, a list of culprits will appear, and you may want to clean up the collection of private photos you uploaded to Facebook, in case you’re worried this might happen again.

How-To Geek: No, You Don’t Need Antivirus on a Chromebook
Recently, Malwarebytes announced an antivirus for Chromebooks (through its Android app). But here’s the thing: that’s complete bullshit. You don’t need an antivirus on Chrome OS; I don’t care how they try to sell it.  MORE...

Lifehacker: The Best Downloads of 2018: Our Favorite Software
Author David Murphy says: I spent way, way, way too much time this year updating our famous Lifehacker app packs, and I highly encourage you to check them out.
The mighty Lifehacker app packs:
  • The Essential Windows Apps for 2018
  • The Essential Mac Apps for 2018
  • The Essential iOS Apps for 2018
  • The Essential Android Apps for 2018

Plus: How to Prevent Robocalls and Minimize Phone Spam
Adds Murphy: I’m still using Hiya (Android, iOS) to cut down on annoying robocalls. It’s not perfect, but it beats having my smartphone ringing all the time. Also, thanks to a new update, you can now block numbers that share the first six digits of your number—in other words, annoying “neighbor” spam calls.
