Review: Toledo High School’s October Coffee House open mic featured extraordinary talent across generations and oceans.
Justin Bark, composer and mixer, shared soulful and evocative electronic music. Josie Williams brought incredible vocals, to her ukulele and piano selections, and Erin Tillett wowed the crowd with her acapella rendition of a Sara McLachlan number.
Joe Martin showed off some banjo-pickin’ and singing alongside visiting son Seth, who tried to upstage him with a Nirvana lead-in...

Special thanks to local sponsor Gee Cee’s Truck Stop.

Asked about tours of the high school facilities, Principal Martin Huffman reported around 20 people showed up between 6 and 7 p.m. last night for student-led inspections of visible deficiencies in the main structures because, as Huffman says, “The students know the (structural) defects best.”

Toledo ad hoc group Citizens For Better Schools* suggested the walk-throughs during Wednesday night’s meeting in support of the School District’s bond measure in February 2017.
